marc simao
marc simao is one of two original members of litterbug. he played bass and sang in the colour 9 but will deny it if you ask him. marc has always considered himself semi-trained or perhaps pseudo-trained, although many others call it untrained. he knew he wanted to pursue music after hearing jonathan richman sing, i'm just beginning to live, which is also his favourite video ever. marc's idea behind litterbug was that the band members would all switch instruments so that everyone could take a turn playing many different instruments. while this wasn't exactly a new concept to many, it did wonders in getting sound people to despise the band.
in litterbug, marc has sung far too many of the songs, played a lot of guitar, some drums, bells, banjo and keyboards. marc has written some of litterbug's most popular songs including faith again and oh, you are so beautiful, the latter of which you can listen to on the music page of this website. some say marc's abilities lie in is his drive to play and record music, although he'll say it's his determination to watch at least one movie every day.
